Low Sugar Raspberry Jam

Strawberry Jam using “Slicers” – Fresh Sliced & Sugared Strawberries ready to eat, freeze or make jam

Ingredients

1 ½ c sugar
5 c raspberries (or strawberries)
Pectin in sugar – dry (Mrs. Wages – Low Sugar)

Directions

Smash berries
Stir 10 min
Put in jar

How to Can Raspberries

3 ½ c water
1 ½ c sugar
Put those in a pot.  Bring to a boil.  Set it off.  Go pick berries the next day.  Rinse berries, put on towel to dry.  Put berries in pint jars, pour in syrup up to 1” from the lid (let settle, then come back and top off again leaving 1” room).  Freeze.  Take out night before, let set on counter.  Enjoy next day just like fresh raspberries!  Keeps them from getting mushy!  Just like canning peaches!  (Taste the leftover juice and use it in raspberry jello as the water)
